Juran Announces 2017 Scholarship Awards

Juran is pleased to announce that three scholarships have been awarded for 2017. Two of the scholarships were awarded to students from The National Graduate School in Falmouth, MA and the third was awarded to a Central Connecticut State University student in New Britain, CT.

At The National Graduate School, Donna Gillespie, a student in the Doctor of Business Administration Program, and Thomas Manley, a student in the Master of Science Degree Program, are the beneficiaries of the 2017 Dr. Joseph A. DeFeo & Juran Global Scholarships.

Scholarship criteria at The National Graduate School, consists of maintaining a grade point average of at least 3.5, displaying leadership skills in the program, the applicants’ strength of character, two faculty recommendations, and a two-page essay on why applicants selected to enroll at NGS and study the Quality Management field.

At Central Connecticut State University, Natalia Rozio has been awarded the 2017 Fearon-Juran Business Excellence Scholarship. Natalia is in the CCSU Business School, class of 2019, with a dual major in Management and Marketing. She stood out among a strong pool of finalists for not only a high GPA, and strong references from professors, but because she exhibits the go-getter work ethic Juran seeks in scholars who will be a source of excellence for employers managing for quality. Natalia is Vice President of her Marketing Club, a Student Government Senator representing commuters, volunteers as a tutor to a home-schooled student, and is a coach for Newington High School’s tennis team.

According to Juran President and CEO, “Natalia, Donna, and Thomas received this year’s awards as they have been recognized by their professors as zealots that want to make difference while managing business excellence systems. We are proud to continue to provide these scholarships which have totaled over $100,000 in the past 20 years.”
